Bukayo Saka scored a penalty on his return before Havertz and Leandro Trossard extended Arsenal 's lead to send Mikel Arteta's side top of the Premier League. The match also saw Arsenal secure a fifth consecutive clean sheet away from home for just the second time in their history.
The north London side's backline has proved pivotal in establishing Arsenal's presence in the Premier League title race. The likes of William Saliba and Gabriel have ensured that nobody has conceded fewer goals than Arsenal in the division, with opposition teams finding the net just 24 times across the season so far.

Arsenal found themselves in third place in the table following Manchester City's win over Crystal Palace in Saturday's early kick-off. Havertz however, suggested that result had little impact on his team's performance and instead emphasised their focus was more insular
